《麻坡的华语》短片自上传 Youtube 以来，在短短的四个月里累积超越 400,000 次的惊人观赏次数，进而使他“一夜成名”！从他的部落格里得知，这位大马留台传播系学生黄明志；曾是海螺的驻唱歌手而他也是在还没留台之前与同道好友创立“大娘樂隊” 的主唱之一。
个人觉得他是一位瞒不错的创作歌手，以饶舌（RAP）的演唱方式；幽默风趣及大马土产语言唱出他对麻坡的“乡愁”。说实在，要不然看过《麻坡的华语》介绍后，我还不知道麻坡原来是那样的“多姿多彩”！ 如果你不曾观赏《麻坡的华语》Youtube短片的话，留意以下 Youtube 链接（留意歌词！绝！）：
他那搞怪又无厘头的歌词绝对是大马的“ 道地土产”福建/海南方言，如果你不是大马人，我只可以说声“可惜”；你还没完全了解及感受到其中精粹哦！（呃，我是客家，所以说也不是 100% 了解啦。。。）
Namewee（黄明志）在 Youtube 里的作品除了《麻坡的华语》以外，里头也包含他以前的创作，而他最新的作品“《我爱我的国家 Negarakuku》（2007大马旅游年主题片段）”竟在短短的三天里超过 60,000 次点击观赏！！（现在应超过 80,000 次点击观赏！）。他把大马的国歌融入他那饶舌曲风里，再把 “2007大马旅游年主题片段” 剪接在里头，展现大马“美”的同时也呈现他那 “爱之深、责之切” 的爱国精神，煞是给粉丝们的一大惊喜！（请）从创作艺术角度来看，无论编曲、编词、摄影及剪接，“黄导”颇有大将之风！

然而，在报章上看到他将会被采取法律的消息，我想所有的粉丝均感惊讶。。。
“ 大马部长針对改编自国歌的《我爱我的国家 Negarakuku》短片而调查其內容是否有侮辱国歌成份，一旦证实将受提控。”
有侮辱国歌成份？其实，早在十多年前，在国歌法令下轻快版的国歌早已出现，只是如今大多都还采用经典的慢版。《我爱我的国家 Negarakuku》我看了又听了数十次，国歌依然是那同样的节奏，曲风是经典的版本，至于歌词方面更是一字不差，那问题到底出在那呢？（试试在本遍找一找）
看来，我以前的想法以为大马娱乐界的不振是本地市场不足导致人才外流，如：梁静茹，品冠，（名导）蔡明亮…等等，如今真得要彻底改观了。。。
大部分创作艺人都说的一句话：“创作的路，正的很难走！”，而我感到遗憾及可悲的是。。。创作艺术始终跨越不了世俗及舆论界的围墙。

（吉隆坡訊）《麻坡的華語》創作者黃明志因改編自國歌的《我愛我的國家 Negarakuku》音樂短片內容倍受爭議，可能因此惹上牢獄之災。
文化、藝術及文物部副部長拿督黃錦鴻針對此事表示，已指派官員從中調查黃明志在著名影音分享網站YouTube發表的改編國歌是否有辱國譽。
如證實該改編曲含有侮辱國歌成份，將援引國歌法令控告黃明志。
“國歌國旗是我國的重要象徵之一，值得我們尊敬，擅自改編國歌，如將內容扭曲或加入負面歌詞已等同藐視國歌。”
“我國有國歌法令保護國歌免被惡意改編。因此，當任何人涉及侮辱國歌時，政府是可援引此法令對付犯事者。”
他強調公眾有權在網絡上發表自己的不滿或批評。可是身為馬來西亞公民，就應該尊敬國歌，絕不能因為不滿就惡改國歌。
來自麻坡的24歲留台傳播系學生黃明志，早前因在YouTube發表大受歡迎的《麻坡的華語》音樂短片，而一曲成名。他之後再接再勵以饒舌演唱方式重新改編國歌並上傳於該網站。該改編國歌剪輯了大量2007年大馬旅遊年宣傳短片畫面。
逾6萬人點擊觀賞短片
歌曲內容影射公務員貪污與工作懶散，種族政治與教育制度不公導致人才外流等課題而大受爭議，截至今日已超過6萬人點擊觀賞該短片。
據瞭解，黃志明在獲悉因改編國歌可能受到相關法令對付後，在其個人部落格裡上傳了改編自《綠島小夜曲》的音樂短片《被抓之歌》。
短片裡表達他出於對國家“愛之深，責之切”感慨而改編國歌，卻可能換來法律制裁的不滿。

Message to Malaysian MALAY :
Especially to government concern, do not take this small video song as ban item. Instead , should do self-exam and reflect the true of actual life in Malaysia. By all kinds of acusation and punishments to “KILL” the singer NAMEWEE is not the right way. Government may kill one NAMEWEE from Muar , but still millions of CHINESE will then become NAMEWEE !
It is time to look forward to improve the standard of living of Malaysia. It is not too late to accept the fact that is exist , it is the attidude that been killing the Malays in Malaysian.
Full of negatives attidude and behavior is inevitable for Malay as a whole in Malaysia. Lazy , jelousy , slow , “bodoh-sombong”- stupid and yet proud , refused to accept the fact that inteligence quality is after Chinese, obsess of power that been past from generation without looking for new talent in the country from other more capable race like Chinese , Indian , Iban ,Kadazan,etc.
It is very sad story that happen that the overall Malaysian is still in poverty and still in “developing”. Compare to Singapore - the nearest neighbor , has rapidly and advancely developed. Why compare between these two country ? Because both Malaysia and Singapore is like a couple that had divorce since 1965 . Singapore can make it to developed country without any natural resources or oil reserved like Brunei. How come , Malaysia with almost everything exist inside the country — yet still not yet developed ?

Questions need to be answered before anyone can start telling the whole world - how progress is Malaysia now !?
Malays in Malaysia— time to let go the throne and start to ‘GIVE UP’ if you cannot accomplish and get the task done. Do give it to other people to get the task done better. Are you willing to give up ?
Democracy ? Why most important government and organisation were occupied by Malays ? Eventhough the Malays had performed very poorly for the past half century since Merdeka 1957(independent), government still stick to the old rules by giving subsidies to them (Malays/Bumiputra). Are we living in a civilised world ? Very simple way and rules- who has more capability , who should deserve the chance to be chosen to get the job done ! Isn’t it ?
Eventhough the Government knows the fact that how poor the Malays has performed , but still Malays have continue been given the subsidies and priviledges ! How many time the “spoon feed” government policy- DASAR EKONOMY BARU ( NEW ECONOMY RULES) been renew and resume ! Is it going to be forever ? Is time to change and start open up their BROAD CHEST to accept the fact to change. Then we will say that they are in civilised country.
If not , anyone in the world may ask , still Democracy in Malaysia ?
